At the heart of the Democratic Party’s climate strategy is the commitment to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This goal aligns with the vast majority of climate scientists’ recommendations to limit global temperature increases to 1.5\u00b0C and avoid the most serious of impacts of climate change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In order to achieve this critical goal, the Democrats have set several ambitious national targets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The party is emphasizing the importance of huge investments in sectors such as clean energy and green technology and highlights the importance of swiftly electrifying the transportation and industry sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The most crucial aspect, and challenge, here, is the transitioning away from fossil fuels while, at the same time, making sure that energy will remain both accessible and affordable to the American public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
